About Moon Star Grill Restaurant

Moon Star Grill Restaurant is a vietnamese in Bronx, New York. It is listed at 3519-25 Johnson Ave, Bronx, NY 10463, which places it among the local businesses of Bronx that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as chinese restaurant, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Bronx, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across New York run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 11:30 am–9:30 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (718) 432-2570. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, moonstarriverdale.com.

Its Google rating is 4.2 out of 5 from 156 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

Bronx is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Bronx peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

My family and I go here often and we usually enjoy our dinner. But today I was very very disappointed! I ordered $60 worth of take-out food. I got 2 orders of sesame chicken & fried dumplings. The chicken was very hard and super dry. And the dumplings were overcooked and very dark. Now I'm not one to complain, so I decided to call and tell them about how unhappy we were with the way the food was cooked today. Unfortunately the response that we got was worse than the food. I asked what can they do to fix this and they kept fighting back and telling me that the cook said he made it the usual way, (which is untrue) Now I would have expected for them to at least offer to cover my next order or at least charge me half. But all they wanted to do is give me $10 off of my next order. I paid $60 for a dinner that I could not finish because it was just too hard to even chew. I had to throw away 70 percent of my food. Now as a constant costumer, I would have expected more from this establishment. This is so disappointing! I DO NOT RECCOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT TO ANYONE! ESPECIALLY THE WAY THAT THEY TREAT A CUSTOMER WHO IS CONSTANTLY GIVING THEM BUSINESS... $60 IS A LOT OF MONEY TO SPEND ON

Ordered for pick up, food was delicious. Can recommend the following dishes: Mixao Don Noodle (chicken) Ginger honey chicken Sauteed baby garlic bok choy The Mixed Vegetables with ginger scallion sauce was a bit bland, so wouldn't get that again. Food was hot, tasty, and good portion sizes. Will order from them again!

First time ordering here and it won't be the last! Yummy food! Love the chicken broccoli and pad Thai noodles. It tastes like how they used to cook back in the day. Loved it!!

We ordered from Moon Star Grill recently and we were not disappointed at all. We had the grilled pork chop, which was yummy! The general tsao and sesame chicken and the curry chicken all of which were tasty and delicious! The food traveled well it was still hot and the flavors were mouth- watering. The service was excellent and there was plenty of parking as well. We will return for sure.

Recently ordered food from the establishment (and I use the term “establishment” loosely). The weight for my food was about 10 minutes. I found that odd since there was no one else in the restaurant not even sitting down to eat and it look like someone pulled the fire alarm. When the rude buswoman brought my food I asked her if I could have extra Duck Sauce and she replied “how many are in bag”? I felt around and felt one or two and told her as much. She then went and get back to get more and then wanted to give a speech about how they already give enough duck sauce. I told her I spent over $11 on my food so why is it you are acting like you are putting your career on the line to give me a few extra packets of Duck Sauce? She then reached in my bag and pulled out a small red container and said “look we give you hot sauce and it’s homemade!” I informed her that I didn’t ask for a hot sauce I’m asking for duck sauce and then she went and snatched the hot sauce back out of the bag and THREW a single packet of duck sauce in my bag. Lastly, they had the nerve to ask if I wanted a fork. How was I supposed to eat the food, with a spatula?!? I have never been to an establishment where
